I’m Chuck the programmer.

This all started with Tom, the founder of Our Family Storybook. A couple of years ago I met him in response to a Craigslist ad seeking a freelance programmer. Tom wanted someone to take his designs and turn them into functioning dynamic websites; easily managed by him and his customers, by-passing the programmer (we have many successful implementations).

He also suggested joining efforts in developing a genealogy website--one that would display family genealogy in a attractive format, custom themes with pictures, videos, sound and the written word—not just names, dates and facts.

To be honest, I didn’t have much exposure to genealogy.  I was a military brat, then a soldier, then a veteran; I grew up all over the world and rarely interacted with my extended family.

What drew me to Our Family Storybook, was purely programming. I am an entrepreneur and computer geek so the prospect of building a community-based website used by hundreds, thousands or even more--got me excited.

We’ve been at this for a quite a while, making steady progress but even greater things are coming. We want to make this website the best for you; so let us know what you think. I also offer programming services through this site to help you customize your own Family Storybook.
