Steven Loren Lyon-Drury

Former Bremerton resident Steven Loren Lyon Drury, 42, of Arlington, Va., died June 18, 2002, in Washington, D.C.

He was born Nov. 27, 1959, in Camp Pendleton, Calif., to Thomas Harold and Irene Mae (Ford) Lyon. He attended Olympic High School.

Mr. Drury served in the Air Force from 1978 to 1982, achieving the rank of sergeant. He later worked as a computer programmer with Preston Gates attorneys in Washington, D.C.

He was a marathon runner and loved to travel. He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Survivors include his parents, now of Port Orchard; two brothers, James Lyon of Massachusetts and Thomas Lyon of Redmond; four sisters, Sharon Churches and her husband Stan of Utah, Margaret Ringo of Tacoma, Kathyrne Wilde of Oregon and Linda Leonard and her husband Charles of Oregon; his grandmother, Ruby Dunnihoo of Vancouver, Wash.; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today (June 27, 2002) at Lewis Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday also at Lewis. Interment will be at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent. An online memorial can be seen at www.lewischapel.com.
